Canto Movie Madness

Probably way too much violent, Chinese, gangster movies for my own good but oh well.

Legendary Assassin: Simple almost pointless story line but lots of intense epic fighting. Stars Jacky Wu and Celina Jade which I think made a pretty sweet couple cause they're both so awesome. Romance and sappy stuff was very short lived. But epic matrix style ninja fight almost? made up for it? Had to end with Jack breaking every single bone in his body for it too be right. Excuse the sarcasm, I enjoyed it, I did. Just that the story was a little hard to fully grasp.

Flashpoint: Super excessive beating action with Donnie Yen. Awesome action and shooting. Good story. Right amount of drama and romance. =)

Cast: Donnie Yen, Louis Koo +2
Romance +1
Ass shooting in mid air +1
Excessive beating -1

Fatal Move: Jacky Wu, Sammo Hung, Simon Yam... SPL cast with probably even more excessive throat slashing and just general body dismemberment. LOL Way more of a story line compared to Legendary Assassin but pretty complicated. Very "Mo Gan Do" triad style. ;)
Guns +2
Cast: Jacky Wu, Simon Yam +3
Everyone dies ending -1
Stray body parts -2
Action +5
Accents -2
Jacky Wu's Canto +1
Very excessive cutting -2

SPL/ Kill Zone: Donnie Yen. Epic gangster beating.

Invisible/ Invincible Target: Jacky Wu!! Yeah, Legendary Assassin sorta put me in a phase. He's evil though which is kind of a bummer. Interesting revenge fueled movie. Cool mix of characters and loads of people beating. Not near as intense as the others and a little surreal in parts. But enjoyable and exciting. My only problem was that Nick Tse should have died twice
Cast: Jaycee Chan, Nicholas Tse +3
Cold blooded Mandarin speaking Jacky -2
Action intensity +2
Nades, lots of gernades +2
Story +1
Length of end fight-->Jacky's death -3

*Based on purely my own opinion*

And I've been watching some Infernal Affairs but those are waay too complicated and twisted for me to understand. The last one goes back and forth into the past every five mins its mind screwing. I give up. I'll stick with the numbing rage face beating and machine gun spraying thank you very much. :) I will let y'all know about the next movie I hit up!

All this whining and I'm not even on the committee D: Prolly hear from me after this week. If not, I may have not survived the zombie apocalypse. LOL jk. But till later,

Thought I'd throw in a happy post :)

Haven't spoken in a while. So instead of throwing pictures at you, I'll provide some detail. Thanksgiving, Artona, Halloween, and Remembrance Day have come and gone. Each occasion making my life a little better. Lol. Thanksgiving reminded me how distant my extended family was and upon realizing, it felt so much more awesome to be able to spend time with them. The day before thanksgiving was spent chilling and preping dinner with my cousins. I was blessed enough to be invited along with my lil sister to their dinner with their dads side of the family and it was really awesome. We spent the day cooking and eating and just enjoying ourselves. Family came around early evening and we had way too much awesome food to go around. The atmosphere was so hearty mostly because of the cheery people. After dinner, drinks were made and passed and we played some card games to pass time. Most left around 9/10/11 maybe and eventually D was shipped off with grandma and I stayed the night. It was truly epic. Family sleepovers should never be months apart. We stayed up most the night although exetremely unnecessary playing xbox, watching movies, and chatting. We also trolled my cousins computer screens which was a highlight for his xmas secret santa prank from the year before. Sounds pretty immature but I'm deprived, trust me. Had breakfast out and then went home to prepare my own Thanksgiving dinner. No turkey at home this year but delicious roast and Asian spin instead.

Artona was a lot of fun of course with after party included. Photoshoot was a cool experience I guess. Once in a life time ish right? Celebrated a dual belated birthday afterwards which was kinda messy all around but I had fun nonetheless. Not to mention the embarrassing memories attached. All the more reason to love my gang. Family shot was a little embarrassing and problematic but I'm sure it will be worth it as long as they fix my picture till its perfect and don't charge me. xD

Halloween was down played this year cuz I'm old and because it was on a Monday this yr. No avoiding that -.-'' Actually picked up some candy to my surprise. Too chicken to blow anything up out in the open due to mothers who hate and can't count apparently. Blew everything N had left from last yr in a friend's backyard and then settled down for a couple eps of Flashpoint. Yes tv. No not scary movies, of course not. :)
Very embarrassing picture.....Mask was home/handmade though if that helps. Catwoman costume was very last minute.

Last but not least, Remembrance Day. I was saved this yr from having to stand out in the rain in Victory Square for the parade. Instead I went to the service and a senior's home. It was an interesting experience and very warm, dry, and short. Bummed around for the rest of the day. Was on the couch from aprox 12pm-3am with the exception of take-out sushi for dinner. It was a very family homey day. Order of my hrs killed: end of Kung Fu Panda 2, for my sister; Fast Five, the most amazing movie almost ever made in the category of testosterone and coolness and manlyness awesomeness loved by a girl (if that even made the slightest bit of sense =P); Captain America, slow to begin with... very cheesey (which I am fine with) + sexy chris evans and it all balances out!; Vampire Diaries, midseason finale...QQ it was pretty epic. I thoroughly enjoyed the roller coaster of heart attacks I nearly had; Forensic Heroes 3, hella dramatic. not to mention the suspense. really gotta pick it up from Parker sometime as I hear it is available; Transformers: Dark of the Moon, Yes, I threw another movie in. Had the choice between Bridesmaids and to rewatch Transformers and of couse, being the 'man' i am chose the robots >< yeah I don't get it either. So there we have it! My epic couch potato expedition. Haha

Went mini shopping today! picked up a couple things but this post is waay too long for its own good so that will have to wait. :D
Sayonara. <3
